Measures implemented in Ireland as a result of this Directive: · IPPC licensing of industrial sites. An Integrated Pollution Prevention Control (IPPC) licence is required for facilities operating in specified industrial and agriculture activities. Some of the classes are subject to thresholds. Facilities licensed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are required to carry out regular energy audits and identify opportunities for energy use reduction and efficiency.
